Study Visit to Museo de Historia Natural

Last Friday, June 25th our 1st grade students; Kittens, Puppies and Bear Cubs went to visit "Museo de Historia Natural".
In the museum we could see the exhibitions halls of Mammals, Primates, Invertebrates, Reptiles and Amphibians, Birds, Botany, Fossils, Dinosaurs, Fish, and Minerals.
Children were surprised specially at the fossils of whales, seals, crocodiles.It was also impressive to see how big the dinosaurs were.
Children were really fascinated with this visit.

CAMPAÑA CIRCULANDO

El día 02 de Junio la Fundación Mapfre llegó a nuestro Colegio para hablar acerca de la responsabilidad vial y las señales de tránsito.

Los niños vieron un video acerca de ¿Qué pasaría si el mundo no tuviera conciencia de la importancia de las señales de tránsito?

Los niños respondieron a preguntas acerca del video , además identificaron y mencionaron el significado de muchas señales de tránsito.

Luego nos dirijimos a realizar un circuito en donde se encontraban los lugares de la comunidad además de señales de tránsito que los niños debían poner en práctica para poder realizar el recorrido.

The five senses

My five senses help me to learn.

1) With the sense of sight we can see the
colours, the food, the plants, the toys, etc.
2) With the sense of hearing we can listen
to different sounds like voices and music.
3) With the sense of touch, we can find out what is in this bag.
4) The sense of taste helps us to feel the flavors of the food.
5)The sense of smell tells us about our environment.
We can smell good things like “tasty” food, horrible
smells like dirty socks and dangerous smells like smoke from a fire.

Saint George's Week Sport

Four houses: "Griffin", "Pegasus", "Phoenix" and "Minotaur".
From Monday 19th to Saturday 24th games were played under different categories.In the Mini categorie they played: Football, Handball and Athletics. While Major and Medium categories sports were: basketball, table tennis, chess, football and volleyball.

Study Visit to Huachipa Zoo

Last thursday April 15th our children went to visit Huachipa Zoo. It was a wonderful and nice experience for the children to be in contact with the animals, they had the opportunity to see mammals, reptiles, birds and fish. The most exciting thing was the time tunnel where children could see the dinosaurs.Children participated in a workshop named "Peak and teeth ", they watered the plants and interacted with the rabbits.

In Science we are talking about the human body, children identify their body parts through songs and TPR, after that they drew the inside and outside parts of the body in a big paper.
